Pokémon TCG Production Hits 75 Billion Cards Worldwide
The Pokémon Company has released its official figures report for 2025, revealing that 10.2 billion Pokémon cards were produced between March 2024 and March 2025.
This marks a 14% decrease compared to the 11.9 billion cards printed in 2023—a drop of approximately 1.7 billion cards. Despite the decline, the 2024 total still exceeds the 9.7 billion cards produced in 2022, indicating strong ongoing demand for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG).
Prior to 2019, Pokémon card production averaged between 1.5 to 2 billion cards per year. However, recent years have seen a significant surge in global distribution.

As of March 2025, The Pokémon Company reports that over 75 billion Pokémon cards have been produced and distributed in 16 languages across 90 countries and regions. Here’s a timeline of card production growth:

Earlier records before 2017 may not reflect exact totals, but since then, The Pokémon Company appears to have tracked card production more accurately, giving fans and collectors clearer insights into the global reach of the Pokémon TCG.
